How to Use This in Real Life

When you encounter an unknown Arabic word, extract the 3-letter root by removing prefixes, suffixes, and vowels. Then think: what root is this? Do I know any words from this root?

الْمُسْتَشْفَى → ش - ف - ي → شَفَى (he healed) → Hospital!
