Lesson 9: Part 1 Part 2 ▶ Part 3: Far Plural Demonstrative — أُولَئِكَ Dialogue Exercises Vocabulary

Those (Far Away)

You now know: هَؤُلَاءِ = these people (near). But how do you point at a group of people that are far away? One of the most powerful verses in the Quran begins with:

أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Ulaa'ika humul-muflihoon
"Those — they are the successful ones." (Al-Baqarah 2:5)

The Complete Demonstrative System — Near vs Far
